August-September is a transitional time.

Languid days of summer quickly fade into the hustle and bustle of back-to-school prep in the air.

Some of us love to get wrapped up in the excitement of new adventures in learning.

This is a time when many of us have too many items on a to-do-list, particularly if we or someone we love are moving away from home for the first time to go to college.

Any situation that we find emotionally stressful, will likely stress our skin, resulting in unanticipated skin sensitivities, irritations and eruptions.

Even the good stuff, and we hope it’s all good stuff, can stress our skin when we have too many changes and too much excitement.

Of course fashion mags and department stores are already into fall wardrobe, but really who wants to stash away their summer sandals in August?  Not me.

I love to max out every moment of summer!  In Minnesota, it’s too short a season to contemplate anything else.

It’s still late summer so let’s face it, we’re not ready for boots, socks and tights yet. During this barefoot, sandals and flip flops season that we want so badly to last and last, let’s keep up the care of our hands and feet with daily cleansing, exfoliating, and body butter to nourish and soothe. → Read more
